Roads and Infrastructure in AI Mearad and Southwest Muaither- Package -2

The scope of DW044 P02 is to provide Demolition and Site clearance, Earthworks, Roads and Paving, Street lighting, Landscaping and Irrigation, Surface water drainage, Foul sewer, Treated Sewage Effluent (TSE) system, and Utilities (Telecom, Potable water, and Electrical works)
The main objective of this project is to enhance the area by developing road infrastructure, including kerbing, lighting, footways, streetscape, improving surface and new network of foul water drainage and providing TSE network for the area and improving utilities such as potable water mains, electricity mains and telecommunication.
Surface Water Drainage
The main components of the proposed storm water/groundwater collection system in the DW044 P02 project are as shown below:
- 300-700mm diameter Semi-Perforated VC pipes or any approved alternative material
- 500- 800 mm diameter micro tunnel (MT) pipes
- Manholes and Flow Control Chambers (Type A, B, C & D)

Foul Sewage
The foul network consists of, but not limited to the following:
- 150 mm – 300mm, Vitrified Clay (VC) for foul network pipe, using the open-cut trench method or any approved alternative material.
- 400 mm Concrete Lined with GRP for foul network pipe, using the Micro-tunnelling method.
- Foul water manholes

Treated Sewage Effluent (TSE)
The TSE network consists of but not limited to the following:
- 125 mm – 315 mm (OD) HDPE pipe in trenches, including all fittings and accessories.
- 400 mm GRP pipe in trenches, including all fittings and accessories.
Isolation valves.
- Air valve chambers.
- Washout valve chamber
- Distribution Chambers
